(Phoenix, AZ) -- Cody Bellinger homered and scored twice as the Cubs clipped the Diamondbacks 5-3 in Phoenix. Bellinger's solo shot in the sixth inning broke a two-all tie. Mike Tauchman had two hits, an RBI and scored a run for Chicago, which took two-of-three in the series.
The Cubs finished 5-and-4 on their road trip and are now 11-and-7 on the season.
Hayden Wesneski picked up the win with four scoreless innings in relief.
Ketel Marte homered and drove in two, while Joc Pederson also went deep for the D'backs, who dropped to 9-and-10 on the year. Brandon Pfaadt was cruising until the eighth inning. He ended up allowing three runs, two earned, in seven-plus frames to suffer his first loss.

Kansas City captured the first game of the day with a 4-2 victory. Nick Anderson was credited with the win after striking out one batter over a scoreless inning of relief. Salvador Perez and Hunter Renfroe each went deep in the first game. Michael Kopech was charged with the loss after allowing two runs on two hits over an inning of relief.
Chicago bounced back in the second game of the twin bill with a 2-1 win. Erick Fedde earned the victory after striking out five over five and two-thirds scoreless innings. Gavin Sheets slugged his third homer of the year.
Michael Wacha suffered the loss after allowing two runs on four hits over six innings of work. Kansas City is now 12-and-7. Chicago improved to 3-and-15.
