Coleman Hawkins scored 21 points and pulled down 10 rebounds as No. 14 Illinois beat Michigan 88-73 on Thursday night.
Quincy Guerrier added 16 points and 14 rebounds while Ty Rodgers and Marcus Domask each had 15 points for the Fighting Illini who are (13-4) overall and (4-2) in the Big 10.
Tarris Reed Jr. had 20 points to lead Michigan.
Illinois will be home on Sunday against Rutgers.
