Kennys Vargas hit the go-ahead home run in the fourth inning to put the Twins up for good as they cruised past the White Sox, 7-2, in Chicago. Byron Buxton collected three hits with an RBI and run scored in the winning effort. Hector Santiago tossed six-and-two-thirds innings of two-run ball to improve his record to 4-and-1. Minnesota snapped a two-game slide.
Mike Pelfrey didn't make it out of the fifth inning while giving up three runs in the loss. The White Sox have lost four-straight.
