Daniel Murphy hit his fifth homer of the postseason to power the Mets to a 4-1 over the Cubs in Game Two of the NLCS. Murphy launched a two-run homer during a three-run first for New York, which grabbed a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven set. Noah Syndergaard struck out nine over five-and-two-thirds innings of one-run ball for the win. Jeurys Familia closed it out for his fourth save of the postseason.
Jake Arrieta allowed all four runs in five innings to take the loss for Chicago, which will host Game Three Tuesday night. Kris Bryant doubled in Chicago's only run in the sixth.
