The Cubs exploded for four runs in the 11th inning to down the Reds, 7-3, from Great American Ball Park. Jonathan Herrera put Chicago ahead on a pinch-hit RBI single in the final frame. David Ross' two-run double padded the lead, and Travis Wood added an RBI groundout to ice the cake. Jon Lester struck out 10 in six innings and Jason Motte got the win in relief. Anthony Rizzo went 3-for-4, including a two-run homer to lead the Cubs. Mike Leake gave up three runs in seven innings for the Reds, and Burke Badenhop took the loss after giving up all four runs in the final frame. Billy Hamilton was 2-for-4 with two runs and three stolen bases.
