Blackhawks lose in overtime

Mikael Backlund scored the winning goal with just 24.8-seconds left in overtime as the Flames edged the Blackhawks 2-1 at the United Center. Dennis Wideman lit the lamp in the second period for Calgary, which improved to 3-2-and-0. Jonas Hiller stopped 49 of the 50 shots he faced in the victory. Andrew Shaw scored the lone goal with 5:45 to go in the third for the 'Hawks, who were coming off wins over Dallas and Buffalo to begin the year. Corey Crawford allowed both goals on 18 shots in the setback.
