Cliff Lee scattered 10 hits across seven shutout innings as the Phillies blanked the Cubs 2-0 at Wrigley Field. Lee struck out six in the outing as he improved to 2-and-0. Chase Utley went 3-for-3 and hit a solo homer in the first while Dom Brown knocked Utley in on an RBI single in the fourth. Jonathan Papelbon pitched a perfect ninth for his first save as Philadelphia improved to 3-and-2. Starlin Castro was 3-for-4 while Anthony Rizzo went 2-for-4 for Chicago. Jeff Samardzija struck out eight over seven innings of two-run ball but took the loss. The Cubs fell to 1-and-4.
