The family of an NIU freshman who died last November in a hazing ritual is adding 16 women to their lawsuit over the death. The suit charges the NIU chapter of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity with negligence in the alcohol poisoning death of 19-year-old David Bogenberger of Palatine. The amended complaint accuses the woman of taking part in the fraternity initiation ritual as well. Twenty-two members of the fraternity are also facing criminal hazing charges.
