The transition period continues for Ogle County State's Attorney Mike Rock as he has held the position for just over a week.
Rock was appointed to his new job on January 15th by the Ogle County Board following a 2nd recommendation to the position.
During yesterday's program "Let The People Know", Rock said his biggest adjustment is his job outside the courtroom in his administrative duties. He still plans to handle many of the top felony cases in the future.
Since last week, Rock has already hired 1 new attorney and in the process of hiring another assistant in the near future.
He said that the drug and juvenile court programs will remain. Rock would also like to start a veteran's court program in the future.
