The holiday spirit will be in downtown Rochelle this weekend during the annual old Fashioned Christmas Walk.
Stores will be open until 7:30 tonight along with Saturday and Sunday.
Santa will be visiting the Flagg Township Museum between 4 and 9 today.
There will also be bed races on Lincoln highway at 4. Each team will have 5 individuals.
The annual Lighted Christmas Parade begins at 5:30. It will travel on Lincoln Highway through the downtown area and come to a end at City Hall. City Manager David Plyman along with Santa will light the Community Tree along with music from the Rochelle Middle School Chorus.
The 7th annual Christmas Tree Festival goes from 4:30 until 6:30 at City Hall. Bidding for the Holiday table top items ends at 6:30. All of the proceeds this year go to the Homeless Shelter program in the Hub City.
The Rochelle Fire Department will be selling pork chop sandwiches tonight along with the chili and soup dinner at the Masonic Temple.
The Hub City Senior Center will also have their cream chicken and biscuits dinner between 4:30 and 7:30 this evening.
The Rochelle VFW will have their breakfast with Santa on Sunday morning between 8 and 11.
