The Rochelle elementary board held their reorganizational meeting yesterday evening as the winners from the Consolidated Election were sworn into their position as school officials.
The board members beginning 4-year terms were Shirley Reif, Trisha Vaughn, Dave Casey, and Jean Tess.
Casey was also elected for a 2nd 2-year term as president of the school board. He said the biggest challenge for the board will be their financial status in the next several months due to the lack of state fuding from Springfield.
Casey also said that they will continue to update the curriculum for the teachers and students. This includes the new bilingual program which begins next fall at Central School.
Re-elected as vice president to the board was Steve Builta while Shirley Reif will remain aS secretary.
Committee assignments were also designated last night for the board members.
