A Byron teen was back in Ogle County court yesterday for a hearing after being arrested in an alleged sexual assault incident that took place in June at the Nash Recreation Center in Oregon.
19-year old Robert Swanson has been charged with the Class "X" felony offense of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child.
The male victim was under the age of 13 years old. Ogle County officials say that Swanson knew the boy.
In court yesterday, the judge granted heresay statements made in the case. It involved comments made by the victim to third party individuals that can be used during the trial.
Swanson returns to court on November 14th for a pre-trial conference. He remains in jail in lieu of a 1 million dollar bond.
Swanson does a a prior felony conviction of aggravated battery to a police officer following an altercation in 2015.
