City officials in Rochelle are glad that plan "B" worked out for the use of the Hub Theater in the future with the announcement this week of Box Office Distillary.
The group from Ashton plans to use the building for their distillery along with having banquets, meeting rooms and other events at the facility. The former Lincoln School will also be used for a storage building for the business.
During yesterday's program "Let The People Know", Mayor Chet Olson talked about the project for the downtown area. He said that its great that the city can work with an area family involving the new business.
Mayor Olson also mentioned that another new business may be coming to Rochelle that would be located in the former Dairy Queen building. Dunkin' Donuts wants to buy the building.
He also said that the company could possibly open a store on the south side of Rochelle.
Mayor Olson said that Dunkin' Donuts has been looking at Rochelle for several years in opening up a store.
"Let The People Know" is heard on Wednesday afternoon at 12:30 on Newstalk 1060 and rebroadcast Saturday morning at 6 on Newstalk 1060 and Sunday morning at 6 on "The Coyote".
