An Ogle County judge had set bond at $30,000 for a Rockford woman after she allegedly set a car on fire near Byron on Sunday.
29-year old Hawwa Abdullah has been charged with the Class 2 felony of arson.
The incident took place at the Bishop Lane Retreat Center on East McGregor Road in rural Byron. Abdullah allegedly broke the windows to the car and set the vehicle on fire. She then fled the scene.
Ogle County officials say that the car belonged to her former husband. No one suffered any injuries from the blaze.
Abdullah was located in Rockford where she was arrested. She remains in jail in lieu of bond.
Abdullah returns to court on Friday for an arraignment.
