Illinois State Police are getting tough on traffic violations in construction zones. Each zone will have a trooper positioned there. Speeding in the construction zones could result in a 300-dollar ticket. An ISP spokesperson says most violations are from speeding and distracted drivers.
The use of a cell phone is banned in construction zones, even a hands-free device.
