Sewer work begins in Oregon today

Officials in Oregon have announced that a company plans to clean and televise their sanitary sewer system to determine it's condition starting today. The project is expected to be completed in 8 to 10 weeks.

Visu-Sewer will use a high pressure jet machine to clean the main sewer lines. The process may cause pressure changes at your home.

Water may also be forced out of the drains in a small area.

Residents in Oregon should close their toilet lids and cover drains with a bucket or mat to prevent excessive splatter.

After the crews have left your neighborhood, run a gallon of water in each drain to fill your traps which should keep the sewer smell out of you home.

Areas in Oregon not affected by the sewer project includes Century Hills, Terrace View, and the Fairgrounds sub-division along the east side of Oregon.

If you have any questions, call 732-7098.
