Rochelle police investigated the death of a 6 month old child Friday morning.
Emergency personnel received word of a boy not breathing at 1033 of North Main Street around 8:30.
The child was taken to Rochelle Community Hospital by fire department ambulance before being pronounced dead.
The Illinois State Police Crime Scene Unit were called to the Hub City to assist in the investigation.
It does not appear to be any foul play at this time.
An autopsy was performed on the boy yesterday afternoon.
