A teacher in the Rochelle Elementary School District is recovering today from injuries at KSB Hospital in Dixon after she was attacked by 2 pit bull dogs on Monday.
Aneda Ebert of Ashton was jogging near her home when the animals attacked her. Her husband found her while he was riding his bike.
Ebert had surgery Monday with several more in the future.
Lee County Sheriff John Varga said that his department is not investigating the incident. Ogle County animal control was called to the scene after the attack. The dogs were impounded after the incident and later put to sleep with the owner's consent.
There have been no problems with the 2 dogs in the past.
