The Rochelle League of Women Voters will host a presentation on the effects of toxic algae blooms on waters of the Great Lakes.  Jeanette Neagu of the Lake Michigan Region League will explain how nutrient overloads, primarily phosphates and nitrates, cause the algae blooms and how such discharges can be reduced.
