Asdrubal Cabrera also knocked in two runs for Cleveland, which has won six straight. Michael Brantley was 3-for-5 with a run and an RBI for the Tribe. The Indians are a game ahead of Texas for the final AL wild card spot. Danny Salazar struck out eight over five-and-a-third innings of two-run ball for his second win. Dylan Axelrod allowed five total runs in five-and-two-thirds frames for the setback. Avisail Garcia hit a solo shot for Chicago, which has lost five-of-seven.
Cleveland beat the White Sox in 17 ouf 19 games this season. Chicago will be at home tonight against Kansas City.
