Jake Petricka took the loss for the White Sox who have dropped three in-a-row. Gordon Beckham had two hits and Bryan Anderson had two RBI for the White Sox.

Carlos Villanueva picked up the win while Pedro Strop locked up his first save. Kris Medlen struck out six in seven-and-a-third innings of one-run ball. Scott Downs took the loss. Freddie Freeman scored the only run for Atlanta, which has lost four-of-six overall. The Braves' magic number to clinch the NL East is one.
