David Ortiz drove in three runs with two hits and Stephen Drew homered to help the Red Sox defeat the White Sox 7-6 at Fenway Park. Jacoby Ellsbury drove in two and scored twice for the BoSox. Brandon Workman worked an inning and a third in relief and got the win to move to 4-and-2. Koji Uehara earned his 16th save. Boston has won seven of its last eight games to take a five-and-a-half game lead in the AL East Division. Alexei Ramirez had three hits and Tyler Flowers homered for the White Sox in the loss. Andre Rienzo lasted only three innings and fell to 1-and-1. Chicago lost its third straight game.
