Matt Dominguez and Cris Carter hit back-to-back homers in the top of the ninth to lift the Astros to a 10-8 win over the White Sox in the first of three on the North Side. Carter's two home runs and four RBI led Houston's offensive outburst. Jason Castro and Brett Wallace also left the yard as Houston improved to 44-and-86. David Martinez earned the win and Jordan Lyles nailed down his first save. Adam Dunn hit his 30th long ball of the season in the loss. It's the 10th time he's hit 30 homers or more in his career. Addison Reed took the loss for Chicago, which fell to 54-and-76.
