The Padres rallied in the 13th and again in the 15th inning to pull out a 3-2 win over the Cubs at Petco Park. Nick Hundley singled in the winning run for the walk-off victory as San Diego won its third in four games. After Chicago took a 2-0 lead in the top of the 13th, Ronny Cedeno tripled in a run and tied the game by scoring on a wild pitch for the Pads. Dale Thayer logged the win in relief. Darnell McDonald scored on an error and Brian Bogusevic knocked in a run for Chicago in the 13th before Kevin Gregg blew the save. Hector Rondon was saddled with the loss for Chicago, which has lost five out of six.
The Cubs begin a 3-game series in L.A. tonight against the Dodgers.
