The Bears are officially in camp and start practice today from Bourbonnais. The first work out of the day will start at 9:00 a.m. this morning at Olivet Nazarene University. Of the first 13 practices, 11 will start at 9:00 a.m. while the other two begin at 3:15 in the afternoon. It's the 12th straight summer Chicago spends camp at ONU.
Following yesterday's expected retirement of defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis, the Bears quickly filled the roster spot by signing veteran defensive end Jamaal Anderson. The 27-year-old Anderson was the eighth-overall pick of the Falcons in 2007. He played just two games with the Bengals last year before missing the rest of the season with a quadriceps injury. The Bears are likely to move Anderson inside to fill the void left by Ellis.
