Nate Schierholtz doubled in the go-ahead run in the top of the 12th inning as the Cubs clipped the Diamondbacks 7-6 in the third installment of a four-game series at Chase Field. Schierholtz went 3-for-6 with a three-run homer and five RBI for the Northsiders, who are 3-and-3 since the All-Star break. Hector Rondon pitched the final two innings for the win. Cody Ross' sac-fly RBI tied the game at six in the bottom of the ninth. Paul Goldschmidt belted a three-run homer for the D'backs, who have dropped four-of-six since the break. David Hernandez fell to 4-and-6 with the loss.
