Cubs beat Cardinals 3-0

Edwin Jackson fired seven shutout innings to pace the Cubs to a 3-0 win over the Cardinals in Chicago. Jackson allowed three hits while striking out five as he moved to 6-and-10. Anthony Rizzo knocked in all three runs for Chicago, which has won five-of-six. Starlin Castro was 3-for-4 with a pair of runs in the win. Kevin Gregg picked up his 16th save. Allen Craig was 2-for-4 for St. Louis, which had won five in-a-row. Jake Westbrook gave up all the runs in seven frames for the loss. Cards outfielder Matt Holliday left in the fourth inning with right hamstring tightness.
