Cubs right-hander Matt Garza has confirmed reports about his contract negotiations with the team. Garza calls the rumors about a possible extension "as real as a trade" and adds that there's about a fifty-fifty chance of him staying on with the Cubs. The 29-year-old is scheduled to be a free agent at year's end, so he'll likely receive a new deal or be traded by the July 31st deadline.
