Cubs take 2 out of 3 games in Seattle

The Cubs went up 7-1 in the fourth inning and held on to beat the Mariners 7-6 in Seattle. Anthony Rizzo was 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored for Chicago, which has won four-of-five including the last two of this three-game series. Alfonso Soriano added a pair of runs and an RBI for the Cubs. Edwin Jackson moved to 4-and-10 after giving up three runs in six-plus innings. Kevin Gregg picked up his 13th save. Jeremy Bonderman gave up six total runs in three-and-a-third frames for the loss. Jason Bay and Raul Ibanez each had a solo home run for Seattle, which has lost four of its last five games. Kyle Seager added a two-run jack in defeat.
