Rochelle Senior Shortstop Christina Williams has been named 2nd team All-State by the Illinois Softball Coaches Association. Williams was selected to the Class 3A team.
Williams, a 3-time All-Conference shortstop, batted .459 this past season with 5 home runs and 18 RBI.
She is 1 of the top 40 softball players in the state in Class 3A
Williams plans to play next season at Kishwaukee Community Coillege in Malta.
Sterling pitcher Stephanie Kester and infielder Karlie Mellott were selected to the 1st team in Class 3A. Sterling infielder Pracilla Aponte was named to the 2nd team.
Sycamore pitcher Abby Foulke was selected to the 3rd team while Freeport's catcher Jordan Olson was named to the 2nd team.
Stillman Valley pitcher Payton Abbott was chosen 2nd team All-State in Class 2A.
