Mets score 4 runs in the bottom of the 9th and beat the Cubs

Kirk Nieuwenhuis  hit a three-run homer to cap a four-run ninth inning as the Mets rallied to beat the Cubs 4-3 at Citi Field. Marlon Bryd hit a solo shot to get New York on the board before Nieuwenhuis' first home run of the season gave the Mets the walk-off win. Bobby Parnell got credit for the win as the Mets salvaged the finale of the three-game series. Carlos Marmol retired just one batter in the ninth and took the loss for Chicago, which had won three straight. Matt Garza pitched seven innings of three-hit ball in a no-decision. Alfonso Soriano singled in a run for the Cubs.
