Erik Bedard surrendered an unearned run on three hits over six innings with six strikeouts to move to 2-and-3. Jose Veras locked down his 12th save as the Astros won their second straight since a six-game slide. Chris Sale struck out 14 and walked just one while scattering five hits and allowing the pair of unearned runs for the Sox. He fell to 5-and-5 with the loss. Adam Dunn had a sacrifice-fly for Chicago, which has dropped two straight since a three-game uptick.
