Alejandro De Aza and Alex Rios plated a run each in the 16th inning to give the White Sox a 7-5 win over the Mariners at Safeco Field. The game was scoreless through 13 innings until both teams put up five runs each in the 14th. Rios finished 4-for-8 with two RBI and a run scored for the White Sox, who snapped an eight-game losing streak. Jeff Keppinger also drove in two runs in the victory. Addison Reed tossed the final three innings, giving up all five runs in the 14th, but was credited with the win. Kyle Seager hit a game-tying grand slam in the 14th for the M's, who were aiming for their first three-game sweep of the season. Hector Noesi fell to 0-and-1 with the loss.
