The Baltimore Ravens will be in Washington, D.C. today to celebrate their Super Bowl win.
President Obama will welcome the team to the White House to congratulate the champions on their victory and acknowledge their work in the commnity.
A visit to the White House is a long-held tradition for the Super Bowl winner.
Newstalk 1060 talked with Sean Considine of Byron who is a member of the World Champion Ravens. He said that he will not be in Washington today due to family commitments.
He also said that he plans to end his NFL career after 8 seasons in the league. The major reason behind his decision is his family. Sean and his wife currently have 4 small children and a 5th is expected in September.
Considine was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles after his college playing days at Iowa. He also had NFL stops in Jacksonville, Arizona, and Baltimore.
Sean said he plans to look into several business opportunities in the future while living in Byron.
