John Danks was strong in his first start of the year, going six-plus innings and allowing three runs in a no-decision. Nate Jones picked up the win in relief. Derek Dietrich hit a two-run homer for Miami, which has lost three in-a-row. Ryan Webb suffered the loss in relief.

Game #2 of the series is tonight. The Pre-Game Show begins at 5:40pm on Newstalk 1060.

The Reds scored five runs in the fourth inning and never trailed again on their way to a 7-4 win over the Cubs.  Ryan Hanigan hit a three-run home run, Brandon Phillips smacked a two-run shot and Joey Votto added a solo shot for the sizzling Reds.  Cincinnati has won 11 of its last 13 games and four in-a-row.  Votto has a 12-game hitting streak.  The Cubs got a home run from starting and losing pitcher Scott Feldman and two hits from Luis Valbuena.  Chicago lost its fifth straight game.  Bronson Arroyo got the win to go to 5-and-4 and Feldman the loss to go to 4-and-4.
