White Sox beat Boston 6-4

Adam Dunn clubbed a three-run homer in the first inning as the White Sox hung on to beat the Red Sox 6-4 in the opener of a three-game series at U.S. Cellular Field. Alejandro De Aza and Alexei Ramirez both plated a run and scored a run for the Pale Hose, who have won five of their last seven. Dylan Axelrod tossed six innings of two-run ball to improve his record to 2-and-3. Addison Reed closed it out for his 15th save. Jarrod Saltalamacchia belted a two-run homer and Will Middlebrooks hit a two-run double for the BoSox, who had their five-game winning streak snapped. Jon Lester allowed six runs, five earned, in six frames as he fell to 6-and-1 with the loss.
