Hector Gimenez and Conor Gillaspie each connected on solo shots for Chicago while Adam Dunn singled in a run. Jake Peavy went six-and-a-two-thirds innings while allowing three runs and fanning six to improve to 3-and-1. Despite allowing a run in the ninth, Addison Reed recorded his eighth save. The Sox have won three straight. Matt Joyce hit a solo homer and drove in two for Tampa Bay while Evan Longoria also went deep for the sixth time this year. Roberto Hernandez allowed five runs over six innings to suffer the loss as the Rays dropped their third in four games.
