Chicago Baseball

Josh Willingham hit a go-ahead three-run double during a four-run seventh inning as the Twins rallied past the White Sox 5-3 in Chicago. Justin Morneau and Aaron Hicks also plated a run each for Minnesota, which swept the rain-shortened two-game series and has won four straight overall. Scott Diamond gave up just one earned run over six innings of work to improve to 1-and-1. Glen Perkins pitched a perfect ninth for his fifth save. Adam Dunn homered and Jeff Keppinger had two RBI for the Pale Hose, who have dropped three in-a-row. Matt Lindstrom suffered his first loss in relief of starter Gavin Floyd, who allowed just one run on three hits over six frames.

The White Sox open up a 3-game series at home tonight against Cleveland.

Ryan Braun belted a three-run homer as the Brewers won their seventh straight with a 4-2 win and series sweep over the Cubs at Miller Park.  Alex Gonzalez plated the other run for the Brew Crew.  Wily Peralta tossed six-and-two-thirds innings of two-run ball for his first win.  Jim Henderson closed it out for his fourth save.  Anthony Rizzo hit a two-run homer for the Cubs, who have dropped six of their last seven.  Scott Feldman allowed four runs, just one earned, in five frames as he fell to 0-and-3.

The Cubs continue their 10-game road trip tonight in Cincinnati.
