Cubs beat Texas 6-2

Anthony Rizzo hit a two-run homer and Alfonso Soriano added a solo shot to power the Cubs to a 6-2 win over the Rangers. Welington Castillo went 4-for-4 and Luis Valbuena had two hits and drove in two runs for Chicago. The Cubs earned a split of the rain-shortened, two-game set at soggy Wrigley Field. Carlos Villanueva pitched seven innings of two-run ball for the win. Alexi Ogando was roughed up for six hits and five runs in less than three innings to take the loss for Texas. Ian Kinsler and Nelson Cruz each hit solo homers for the Rangers, who went 3-and-3 on their six-game road trip.
