Bobby Ryan tied the game at two, while Sheldon Souray added an empty netter in the closing seconds. Peter Holland also lit the lamp for the Ducks, who have won seven of their last eight to pull within three points of the 'Hawks for the best record in the NHL. Jonas Hiller kicked aside 22 of the 24 shots he faced in the victory. Jonathan Toews and Nick Leddy both scored for Chicago, which had won its previous three. Corey Crawford allowed three goals on 25 shots in defeat.
