Jordan Danks was 2-for-3 with a solo home run as the White Sox fell to the Diamondbacks, 4-2. Gordon Beckham was 3-for-4 with a run scored for Chicago. Dylan Axelrod gave up two runs in three relief innings for the loss. The Sox host the Brewers today.
White Sox starter John Danks is heading to the disabled list. Manager Robin Ventura says he will make his final two spring starts in the minors and then is going on the DL help help strengthen his left shoulder, which was surgically repaired. The lefty is 0-and-2 with a plus-16 ERA in four starts this spring.
The Cubs return to action today with a pair of split squad games following a day off. The Cubs face the Dodgers in Tucson and close with a night game in Peoria against the Mariners. The Cubs have won their last two spring games.
