Blackhawks beat San Jose 5-3

Patrick Kane broke a three-all tie in the second and added an empty-netter in the closing moments to lift the Blackhawks over the Sharks, 5-3. Brandon Saad, Andrew Shaw and Marcus Kruger all lit the lamp in the opening period for Chicago, which has won two straight and is now 8-0-and-2. Brent Seabrook and Jonathan Toews  each had two assists while Corey Crawford halted 30 shots in the win. Michal Handzus  and Tommy Wingels had a goal and assist for San Jose, which has lost three straight to fall to 7-2-and-1. Joe Pavelski netted his fifth goal of the year while Antti Niemi  made 26 saves in the loss.
