The Bears fired head coach Lovie Smith on Monday. The move comes just a day after the Bears missed the playoffs for the second straight year despite a 10-and-6 record. The Bears went 81-and-63 in nine seasons under Smith.
Names are already surfacing as candidates for the Bears head coaching vacancy. Chicago is interested in Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy and will interview him this weekend. The Bears also plan to interview Falcons special teams coach Keith Armstrong.
