Congratulations goes out to RTHS Senior Michelle Dobbs as she has been selected as 1 of the 10 finalists in the girls competition for the 2012 Wendy's High School Heisman award.
There are a total of 10 boys and 10 girls left from Illinois who have a chance to win the award. On November 5th, the 2 winners from each state will be announced. The 12 national finalists, 6 boys and 6 girls, will be invited to New York City on December 7th where the winners in each division will be annnounced during a banquet.
The award is given to high school athletes for their work in sports and also in the classroom. Dobbs is a 3-sport athete at RTHs in Cross Country, Basketball, and Track along with 1 of the top students in the Senior Class with her grade point average.
