Bears win 5th straight game


Robbie Gould nailed a game-winning 41-yard field goal as time expired as the Bears rallied to beat the Panthers, 23-22. Tim Jennings had a 25-yard interception return for a touchdown to help Chicago erase a 12-point fourth quarter deficit. Jay Cutler ended 19-for-28 for 186 yards with a TD and an interception for the Bears, who have won five straight to improve to 6-and-1 on the season. Matt Forte rushed for 70 yards and a score in the victory. Cam Newton finished 20-of-39 for 314 yards but was picked off twice. He also ran for 37 yards on five carries for the Panthers, who fell to 1-and-6 with their fifth consecutive loss. Steve Smith had seven catches for 118 yards, but dropped a sure touchdown with 2:43 to play.
