After a 10 under par 61 on Thursday, Matteson came back with a 3 under par 68 on Friday which gives him a total of 13 under par for 36 holes. He has a 1 shot lead on Jeff Maggert and Brian Harman. Maggert fired a 9 under par 62 yesterday.

3-Time Defending Champion Steve Stricker is in a 3-sum at 10 under par following a 67 on Friday. Zack Johnson is also only 4 shots back. Stricker is trying to become the 5th golfer to win a tournament 4 consecutive times.
Most golfers feel that around 20 under par will win this year's John Deere Golf Classic. The winner takes home a 1st prize check worth $828,000 along with a John Deere Gator.
