(Luis Valbuena ripped a tie-breaking three-run double to back seven stellar innings from Jeff Samardzija as the Cubs cruised to a 4-1 win over the Braves last night at Turner Field. Samardzija struck out 11 and allowed just one run on four hits to improve to 6-and-7 on the season. James Russell closed it out in the ninth to nail down his second save. Anthony Rizzo added a solo home run for Chicago, which has won four straight and six of their last seven games overall. Chris Volstad gets the nod opposite Jair Jurrjens in tonight's second installment.
