Curtis Granderson, Dewayne Wise and Robinson Cano each blasted a solo shot for New York, which snapped a two-game skid. Jake Peavy threw an eight-inning complete game, giving up four runs with 11 K's for the loss. Chicago saw a four-game win streak come to an end.
