The Chicago Bulls announced Wednesday that they plan to move their practise facility from suburban Deerfield to downtown Chicago.
The Bulls have been at the Berto Center since September of 1992. The basketball operations for the team work out of that facility. The marketing staff works in Chicago at the United Center.
The new faciity, which has no timetable and will be privately funded, could include additional features that would allow the team to expand its use of the building. This would include non-practise times.
The team is considering a restaurant and entertainment facility on the East end of the United Center which would be similiar to the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
