3-Time Defending Champion Steve Stricker paid a visit to the Quad Cities on Monday as he talked about the upcoming John Deere Classic.
The Tournament will be held this year July 12th through the 15th at the TPC Deere Run in Silvis.
Stricker is attempting to be the 5th golfer to win the same tournament in 4 consecutive times. Tiger Woods has done it twice. The list also includes Walter Hagen, Gene Sarazen, and Tom Morris Jr.
Stricker sank a 25-foot downhill putt for a birdie on the 18th hole last year to win his 3rd straight John Deere Classic. He tried the same putt Monday on the 18th hole and made it on his 1st attempt.
This year's 1st Prize Check at the John Deere Classic totals $828,000.
